Setting Up Hybrid Reseller/End User Accounts for Control-C Backup
Introduction
This guide explains how to configure a hybrid Reseller/End User account to fully manage all aspects of Control-C backup for Xero Business accounts on behalf of your client.
To complete this setup, you must have a Xero account with one of the following user roles: Subscriber, Standard, or Advisor.
The purpose of this configuration is to enable you, as an MSP, to perform tasks that typically cannot be done on behalf of a client—specifically, connecting and reconnecting Xero organisations to the Control-C service. This requires a user account in Xero created by the client.

Access to your client’s financial data is a significant responsibility. Please:
- Use this access only for connecting or reconnecting the organisation.
- Log out of Xero immediately after completing the task.
- Treat all client data with the highest level of confidentiality and respect.

Before starting:
- Ask the client to create a Xero user for you with at least the Standard role.
